Elena Carter
Marketing Intern
Elena discovered ballet through Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s DanceChance program, where she began her pre-professional training on scholarship. After ten years of training at PNBS, she graduated from the highest level of the school before earning a BFA from the University of Arizona, where she double majored in mathematics and minored in finance
Elena is currently a full-time MBA student at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, where she is studying marketing and business strategy. Prior to pursuing her MBA, Elena spent nine years as a professional ballet dancer with American Midwest Ballet (AMB), performing as a company artist in numerous featured roles and touring throughout the Midwest, Texas, and Florida.
In addition to performing, Elena worked as a wardrobe and production assistant, contributing to costume construction and design, as well as backstage production for AMB’s performances. Elena also shared her passion for dance as a ballet instructor at the AMB School and local dance studios throughout the greater Omaha area.
Today, Elena enjoys taking open ballet classes whenever her busy schedule allows. She is passionate about the intersection of the arts, analytical thinking, and strategic marketing and hopes to bring her unique creative and quantitative background to a career in marketing.
