Introducing Barre & Baby — a babywearing movement class designed to help moms and parents move, bond, and enjoy a little time for themselves while keeping their little ones close.

Age: Babies up to 18 months
Dates: November 13 & 20 | December 4 & 18 at noon
Price: $92 for a 4-class package or $26 drop-in
Additional Sunday mid-morning classes may be coming soon! Time TBD!

About the program
Minnesota Dance Theatre’s Early Childhood Division introduces our youngest movers to the joy of dance through playful movement, music, and creative exploration. Designed for children ages 0–4, our programs offer engaging, age-appropriate experiences that encourage early development, creativity, and connection.
From babywearing movement classes to parent-and-child experiences and introductory dance classes, our Early Childhood programs create a welcoming space for little ones and their grown-ups to move, explore, and learn together.
What children will learn
Through music, imaginative play, guided movement, and shared experiences, Early Childhood students begin to develop:
Body awareness and coordination through age-appropriate movement and exploration
Rhythm and musicality through songs, music, and movement activities
Motor skills and balance through playful movement experiences
Creativity and self-expression through imaginative play and movement exploration
Confidence and independence as they discover new ways to move
Social connection and collaboration through shared experiences with caregivers and other children
A joyful introduction to dance that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for movement

In MDT Early Childhood Division programs, little movers and their caregivers can expect:
