Brianne Bland

Brianne Bland was born in Vancouver, Canada, where she trained at the Vancouver Goh Ballet Academy under Choo Chiat and Lin Yee Goh. She completed her Royal Academy of Dance training and was a finalist in the International Genée Competition in London in 1996.
Brianne spent 13 seasons dancing professionally with The Washington Ballet in Washington, D.C. During her career, she performed principal roles in Giselle, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, Carmen, and Coppélia, as well as in works by renowned choreographers including George Balanchine, Paul Taylor, Mark Morris, Antony Tudor, Twyla Tharp, William Forsythe, Christopher Wheeldon, and Nacho Duato.
Since moving to Minneapolis in 2013, Brianne has taught Gyrotonic® for more than a decade, helping clients of all ages move with greater strength, grace, and ease. She is also a professional photographer whose work highlights numerous performing arts organizations throughout the Twin Cities.
Brianne is thrilled to be back in the ballet studio, where she is dedicated to nurturing young dancers in a supportive and inspiring environment. She hopes to help each student develop strong technique, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for dance.
