Betsy (Gaasedelen) Nelson is a dance artist and educator based in the Twin Cities, and mom of 2. She received her early training at Hopkins Dance Center under Leslie Daly and went on to earn her BA in Dance and Exercise Science from St. Olaf College. She has held company roles with Concerto Dance and Collide Theatrical, and has also enjoyed freelance performance opportunities around the Twin Cities including Minnesota Opera, Curio Dance, Rhythmically Speaking, and many more. Betsy has been teaching dance for well over a decade, specializing in jazz and ballet, and also spent 8 years as the Office Manager at CREO Arts & Dance.

Betsy’s passion as a dance teacher stems from how the arts expand our worldview, and sharing the joy, groundedness, and confidence that come from living an embodied life.
