The 2026 Spring Festival will take place on May 1 and 2, 2026 at the O'Shaughnessy Theater at St. Catherine's University in St. Paul.


Featuring all MDT students ages 4–18, the program includes excerpts from the classical ballet Le Corsaire, as well as original works in ballet, jazz, and contemporary. The performance will also feature special guest artists from American Ballet Theatre.

MDT’s The Nutcracker Suite


We are thrilled to share the very exciting news that MDT will be producing its first-ever The Nutcracker Suite in 2026!


The Nutcracker Suite will offer roles to all students ages 4–18 enrolled in the Primary and Upper Division. Internationally renowned choreographers include Gemma Bond’s brand new Waltz of the Flowers, Brady Farrar’s Waltz of the Snowflakes, Darrius Strong’s Arabian, and many more.
