Minnesota's enchanting holiday tradition, Loyce Houlton's Nutcracker Fantasy moves into Goodale Theatre in the Cowles Center as part of this 2011 inaugural year with an expanded run of eight performances. This Minnesota classic has drawn over 1.5 million audience members in its 47-year history making it the longest running arts event in Minnesota.
This classic holiday story unfolds through the eyes of Marie who receives the gift of a cherished Nutcracker from her beloved godfather Drosselmayer. Witness the drama of the nefarious Rat Queen and be entertained by the antics of the hilarious Madame Bonbonniere as Drosselmayer takes Marie on a journey to the Land of Snow and Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Nutcracker Tea Party
On December 27th and 28th we will host special pre-performance Nutcracker Tea Parties at 12:45pm. Bring the magic of this classic holiday story to life for your family in an exclusive Tea Party with sweet treats and sandwiches. Post-performance you may tour backstage, receive pictures of your children with the cast and characters from the story and bring home a distinctive memento.
Please Note: Nutcracker Tea Party tickets are separate from the Nutcracker Performance tickets. If you wish to attend both events, you will need to purchase two sets of tickets, one for the performance (follow the link above), and one for the Tea Party (follow the link immediately below).
Special tickets for the Tea Party are priced at $50 for adults, $45 for children 12 and under and are available through Nutcracker Tea Party Box Office Website. Price does NOT include admission to the Nutcracker performance. Performance tickets must be purchased separately.
