Hennepin Center for the Arts is located on the northwest corner of 6th Street and Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. Our studios are located on the second, fifth and sixth floors. The administrative office is located on the sixth floor and is usually staffed during regular business hours.

From the North

Take I-94 E, Take Exit 230 toward 4th St, Follow 4th St to 1st Ave N, Turn right onto 1st Ave N and follow to 6th St, Turn left onto 6th St, Go 1 block to Hennepin Ave. Hennepin Center for the Arts is on the left before crossing Hennepin (corner of 6th & Hennepin).

From the East

Take I-94 W toward Minneapolis, Take the 5th St exit (#234B), Turn left onto 13th Ave S, Follow and turn right onto 7th St, Follow 7th St to Hennepin Ave, Turn right onto Hennepin Ave, Go 1 block to 6th St
Hennepin Center for the Arts is on the left after crossing 6th St (corner of 6th & Hennepin)/

From the South

Take I-35W North, Follow the signs for the Downtown Exits, Take the 5th Ave S exit, Follow 5th Ave S to 7th St, Turn left onto 7th St, Follow 7th St to Hennepin Ave, Turn right on Hennepin, Go 1 block to 6th St. Hennepin Center for the Arts is on the left after crossing 6th St (corner of 6th & Hennepin).

From the West

Take I-394 E, Take the 6th St exit (#9B), Follow 6th St to Hennepin Ave.

Parking
Parking is available on surrounding streets and in nearby lots and ramps. Parking stamps for the lot next to the Hennepin Center for the Arts, located at 5th Street and 1st Avenue North may be purchased at the MDT&DI office. Other nearby lots include the City Garage B, which is behind Butler Square, the City Center Ramp and the Macy's Ramp. Short-term parking meters are available on 6th Street. Access cards for admittance to the turnaround area on the north side of the Hennepin Center for the Arts for student drop-off, pick-up, and short-term parking may be purchased from MDT&DI.
