Minnesota Dance Theatre & the Dance Institute actively
develop new avenues and collaborations of dance education
beyond the studio in order to reach students and audiences
of all backgrounds. This ensures dynamism in the development
of the art form and enriches the life of our community.

Dance in the Parks
Through the program City Children's Dance in the Parks, MDT/DI, in collaboration with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, is offering dance classes for children ages 7 through 9 at Farview Park and Powderhorn Park. The Dance Institute, under the auspices
of Young Audiences of Minnesota, has joined the roster of
acclaimed local artists who present workshops and performances
in local schools and venues geared toward children. For more
